Courtney & Grant 10.6.12

In changing up our website and blog the last couple of weeks, I forgot to go back and post Courtney and Grant’s Castle Farms trailer! Don’t hate, I know you love the new site and the wait was worth it!

This wedding was our coldest yet! We headed up to the castle on a chilly Saturday. These girls were great for getting out in the gardens for some photos…we saw snow flakes! I always say every sing castle wedding is different and it is just so true. This one was so whimsical and natural. Courtney had a great vision for this wedding thanks to the help of Pinterest and our beloved etsy! The girl’s dresses were even made of recyled materials from a talented artist on etsy, no joke! She pulled it all off magically and everything was just beautiful.
Thanks Courtney and Grant for having us be a part of your day, we so enjoyed it!

Krista & Ben 10.20.12

It’s a common misconception that clouds are not a good thing for photography. Clouds can be a photographer’s best friend on an overly sunny day, and in this case make some unbelievable shots in a film. For fall in Michigan, you just never know what you’re going to get and I think the day turned out beautifully. The setting was in Grand Blanc at the Woodfield Country Club. Such a beautiful venue! I was also fortunate enough to get to work with the fabulous Smitten Events. Everytime I work with them I just KNOW it’s going to be beauty all around! It was also my first time working alongside Dan of Dan Stewart Photography and I was happy to work with him. His team was great! They have this little thing called the Motion Booth. Heard of it? It’s pretty amazing.

Hope you enjoy your video Krista and Ben. I had a wonderful time being a part of your special day!

{Little love} Camden

Happy Birthday big boy! I can’t believe this little one is already a year old. I first met Cimberly and Chris back in 2009 when Ian and I made a wedding film for them! Now look at their cute little family. What a little bundle of cuteness they have on their hands. Camden is so so sweet. He loves the camera, he’s laid back, and so fun to play with! I’m so happy I was able to capture some photos for his first birthday! Hope you love them Cimberly and Chris!

{Fall} The Binns Family!

I just love the Binns family! This is the second year doing fall photos for them. They are just so much fun and their boys could not get any cuter. I’m a little biased because I call it home, but Lowell is such a beautiful place in the fall, and I was so happy to shoot their photos here. Go Red Arrows! :) Enjoy your photos Binns Family!

{Fall} The Krieger Family!

I don’t think we could have chosen a better night to do these fall family photos! Such amazing color. Leah and Ethan are so fun, I could have played all evening in the leaves with them! I hope you enjoy your family photos Krieger family!

{Senior Days} Whitney

Ahhh I can’t believe Whitney is graduating. It was so fun to catch up with Whitney and her Mom, Pam. I’ve known their family since I was in grade school, and consider our families lifelong friends. I was beyond honored when they asked me to shoot Whitney’s photos for such an exciting time in their lives. Whitney is such a bright, sweet young lady and I enjoyed so much this beautiful fall afternoon to catch up with them! I hope you love your photos!

{Senior Days} Brandi

I’ve known this one since she was in diapers! When her mom contacted me about doing Brandi’s senior photos, I just couldn’t believe she was graduating. All these babies growing up and getting on with life this year are making me feel OLD! Nonetheless, Brandi is a beautiful girl and I was so so excited to photograph her for this important milestone in her life. Here is a little preview. I hope your family enjoys them Brandi! Congrats!!

{Senior Day} Kris

Well it’s hard to believe, but my baby brother is graduating high school! Where has the time gone? When talking about where to shoot his senior photos, we thought it only appropriate to head to the Lake. Our family has spent many many summers in the Mears area at Silver Lake and you just can’t get a better background than the beaches around lake Michigan and the countryside around the Mears area.

Alexia & Nate 9.15.12

Alexia and Nate had a beautiful early fall day for their wedding. Everything about their wedding was so classy, just beautiful. I loved that they picked Dockers in Muskegon for their reception. It was right on the water, with boats all around, such a unique location and just a stunning backdrop! We had the pleasure of working with Jen of Jen Lynne Photography who is just AMAZING at what she does and was so much fun to work with.

I loved working with you and your families and I hope you both enjoy your trailer! Congrats!!

Tessa & Charles 8.11.12

Tessa and Charles had a beautiful Michigan summer day for their wedding. They were just the sweetest couple. Every one was just so so nice and a lot of fun to work with, the day flew by. I never know where I’ll be shooting in Kalamazoo, since we just don’t work that way often, but the church had so much charm and history, and the reception location was so elegant, I just loved it. I loved working with you and your families and I hope you enjoy your trailer!
